Notre Dame Academy - Computer Science, Disruptive Innovation, & Robotics Director
Vincent serves as the sole instructor for AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A, Robotics, and Disruptive Innovation, with a strong emphasis on differentiated learning and fostering a growth mindset. He actively integrates a wide range of technologies—including MacBooks, Google Suite, Code.org, AP Classroom, virtual reality (VR), 3D printers, VEX Robotics, Replit, Roblox, Minecraft, MIT App Inventor, ChatGPT, Deep Research, generative AI tools, and machine learning models—to create immersive, hands-on learning experiences.
He believes prompt engineering and the ethics of AI are critical for the future of work, and he aims to teach students not only how to use these tools effectively but also how to understand their limitations and prevent misuse. He is also responsible for developing and continually refining a forward-thinking curriculum that is entirely modeled on ARK Invest's open research ecosystem and supported through their partnership with the school.
ARK Invest, led by alumna Cathie Duddy-Wood, provides the foundation for engaging students in cutting-edge topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Robotics, Energy Storage, and Genomic Sequencing to cultivate real-world skills and innovative thinking.
